The bar is not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet.

What's in the bar?

The HEJ 20g Protein Bar has a high protein content with 20g of protein per bar and is low in sugar with less than 3g of sugar per bar. The bar contains no fillers and no artificial colors or flavors.

What kind of proteins do you use?

In the HEJ 20g Protein Bar, we use high-quality milk proteins. We use these because they have high bioavailability and can therefore ideally support you in achieving your goals. The HEJ 20g Protein Bar does not contain animal collagen and is therefore suitable for a vegetarian diet.

Why do we at HEJ not use collagen?

Quite simply, while it can be useful as a beauty active ingredient for skin & hair – as a protein source it is biologically inferior and cannot be well utilized for muscle building. This is because collagen does not contain all essential amino acids and is therefore often used as a cheaper ingredient in bars. Important to know: collagen is always animal, as it is obtained from the joints, connective tissue, etc. of cattle, pigs or fish, among other things. We want to offer you a protein that your body can really utilize. That's why we deliberately avoid collagen and instead rely on whole proteins that provide all essential amino acids.
